A Letter to Santa
Read the story, then answer the questions.
At the start of December, Lily sat down at the table with her crayons and a sheet of paper. She wanted to write a letter to Santa.
First she wrote that she had helped her mum in the kitchen all year and fed the birds in winter. Then she asked for a book about horses and some warm gloves for her little brother.
At the end, she drew a Christmas tree and a reindeer. Her dad helped her seal the envelope. Lily put the letter on the windowsill and watched for a long time to see if anyone would take it.
