The First Snow

When Mia woke up on Thursday, everything outside was white. The first snow had fallen in the night! Mia ate her breakfast quickly and put on her coat, hat and gloves.
With her brother Sam, she built a snowman in the garden. They gave it a carrot nose, two stones for eyes and an old scarf of Grandpa’s.
Then they had a snowball fight and went sledging down a little hill. They came home with red cheeks. Grandma was waiting with hot chocolate.
